For users who want more than Lync with only a headset, the CX300 is designed to be used as a regular handset. Calls may be placed or answered using the phone or a Microsoft Lync client window. Like a traditional phone, the CX300 includes convenient buttons for controlling calls, such as a full dial pad, and keys for controlling volume, mute, speaker phone, hold, redial, and external headset mode. A two-line monochrome backlit display shows you important call details during your call and displays your Lync presence status when idle
